Stopped by Mercedes, ADMs are GONE!
So I dropped off my S560 for a repair this morning and walked through the showroom at Euro Motorcars in Bethesda, ADMs are GONE. Nothing had an ADM, including AMGs. They had at least 7 EQS sedans, no ADMs. Their garage was full of inventory. This dealer had the highest ADMs in the area.
So, breathe a sigh of relief on this one.

His last car was a new Rav 4.
Only had it 9 months and took it to dealer for oil change and drove out with a one year newer -exact same car- but in different color.
It usually takes him a couple years to hit a curb or something and get talked into a new one but this last purchase was a family record. haha

(claimed they needed to move cars, gave him almost what he paid for it, payments barely went up. I've heard this before. lol)
PS- cant say anything cuz I hold the family record for used cars since I went thru them often in my younger years.

Tysons never had ADMs like Euro. Euro is where I saw the $96,000 ADM on that E63S Wagon. Just because a dealer is in a very affluent area doesn’t excuse them trying to screw people.

At one time, they also sold Porsches at that dealership, but later it moved across the street with the Audi shop.
And Bethesda his per capita the most expensive location in the region. Again, do you think I don't know that?
Although I haven't been there in a number of years (I did a review on an E63 some time ago), one thing I remember about the Mercedes dealer at Tysons was the nice people. The nicest and most courteous Mercedes salesman I ever met was there (name was Aage)...he's probably retired by now.
The biggest problem dealers will have, is that even with below MSRP "deals" - they aren't even going to be able to get people back into the showrooms. People are so turned off to car buying now after what was done to them the last two years. Many people just bought out their final leases and own those cars outright now, and plan to keep them for several more years. The days of flipping a lease every 3 years are gone for a lot of people, and US unit sales for cars will likely never see the 17 million number level again for a long time.
I'll swing in the local MB this week if I have time and let ya'll know what they're doing down here.
A couple months ago VW had a small ADM but had almost no inventory but Lexus had none on their RX350's but can't say on the higher priced models.
Think they keep the expensive and exciting cars in the showroom I'm expecting cuz they sure aren't out in the lot with the others, so I'll have to lurk up in there and see.
I always feel creepy looking around when not there to buy anything, I just tell them taking pics for forum when they ask and they leave me alone couple times I did it, only do it for the forum just for fun.
