I wish I can say that, I have regretted many in one way or another.
Sometimes I paid way too much and sometimes I didn't get what I thought or quickly became impractical because of life changes which means another trade in and losing more money. lol
Wasn't the 4 banger in the IS250 you had the one with a reputation for major carbon build up issues & damage due to Direct Injection or am I thinking of a different engine?

He had a Elantra hatchback. I think it was a GT or sort of loaded model in 2018/2019 . Went from a new Hyundai with so many issues and the engine replacement to a much older BMW. His BMW has a number of nagging issues such as constant CEL, burns oil, and it needed new bushings. The BMW has never left him stranded unlike the Hyundai.

My mom had a Sante Fe with 100k+ miles and loved it until she got my Grandma's car when she passed, a newer Toyota Corolla I believe.
Car's I regret buying- plz add Hyundai Elentra
As I just said, the car was good and operated flawless but that's not why I hated it.
I had a paid for Dodge Ram Quad Cab truck that I loved and took a job as outside sales for an electronics company canvassing a large area visiting manufacturing facilities, several hundred miles a week.
At first we had company cars until the owner got cheap and made us use our own cars and pay for our own gas and changed our pay structure last time(years ago) when gas was $3.50 gal.
Well my Dodge Ram was killing me on gas so I traded it in on a Plain Jane base model Elantra, not a chic magnet car by any stretch of the imagination for a single guy.
The car had no flair or style and there was nothing cool about it, it was as boring as a door **** in every way.
But, it did get good gas mileage.
After I bough the car and racked up 60-70k miles in a year they laid me off and I was on unemployment struggling hard to find a job in my specialty that didn't require me moving across the country and Wells Fargo calling me 7 days a week harassing me to make a payment while I had no money.
That just added to my disgust for the car I never wanted...
PS- this was 10 years ago after a divorce and starting over and taking that crappy job and losing my job and then stuck with the boring car I couldn't afford, hard times to start over from nothing but I survived. Got remarried and work for myself now.
