I haven't been in other cars enough to notice this but this is what I love about the older Lexus. The pillars are really cleanly done.

No kidding. It’s gets exhausting
Pot, meet kettle.

You say all the Toyota bashing is exhausting, yet you tear apart the Sequoia any chance you get.

Sorry to be slow-witted, but what do you find peculiar about that front pillar cover? When I look at the photo, I just see two parallel stripes of textured grey plastic.

It is just a design element I have never seen.

Why is there an open seam?

I think the interior is top notch even from a glance. But the outside is horrendous.

I think the entire car is a miss. Interior is too small, steering column is gigantic with styling that wastes space and makes no sense. Rear headroom is bad. Plug-in version eats up cargo space. Car is pretty slow, typical engine drone. EV mode only 0-60 is 11 seconds. I think the exterior looks odd, shaped like a door stop. Infotainment looks extremely dated compared to Tesla, Rivian, Polestar even Ford.

Very tough sell against the Model 3, Polestar, VW etc.

Prius Prime is over priced, I wonder people will pay ~$40k for it.

to me the interior/driver seat looks like its more geared around driver performance focus this time.

If you think the new exterior is horrendous, what did you think of all the prior Prius generations????

The only thing wrong with the new Prius is that it should be, or at least available as, a full BEV. Other than that it's a great little car.

The outgoing model isn't that bad. They're small cars with a focus on mpg.
