drivers.lexus.com won't let me enter new vin numbers
I'v been loving drivers.lexus.com as Im looking for a used lexus and want to see what the service history is. Often you will find dealer suggesting service and customer declining, sign not to buy. Or you can find if the water pump has been done.
I'v entered a lot of vin numbers and now after I cleared out the "garage" I can no longer enter a new vin number. The screen will ether say success and go to a screen showing no vehicles or after I enter the vin it will just have the vin number cleared out as if you were to enter a new one. No new cars will show up in my garage.
Does anyone use drivers.lexus.com? My thought was it reached a limit and then blocked your IP address as they might think something is fishy. Its such a valuable resource in buying a used lexus.

Its so handy what features? They told me it was only for owners. I ended up creating an account using a vpn and it worked, so yea I think they track your vpn. The irony is they think you might be doing sketchy stuff but your the one buying a lexus that they ultimately sold and some sketchy car sales men is selling it with out records.
The site no longer provides a comprehensive list of optional equipment originally installed on a given vehicle. Also, in the service history section, it formerly would automatically display a complete print-out but now one must click on individual service visits to determine the work performed.
Oh that must have just happened, I noticed that. Whats funny is I got a call from lexus today asking if I owned the car. But because this UL had extensive history, mostly fluid changes I bought it. You would think they want to push resale value.

Im not sure, I called a zillion lexus dealerships. But I made a couple of drivers.lexus accounts as they kept blocking me out. I used the names Tom and another and when they called me on my original account they asked me and I said I dont know. Also that its only for owners. Which is funny as I bought it with that information and with out I never would. Pigeon hole society. But at the other end I could see they are protecting their clients or are they the information is available to anyone.
Imaging you got into an accident and the other party got your vin and looked up your service history. Then when service says your need to do something about this "what ever the issue is" then underneath is says description and then "customer declines". And what could it be, a wheel bearing, tire, brakes. They could use that in court.
But Im locked out now of my account and I own the car, it sucks, recalls or anything if they happen I wont know about.
