EV sets a land speed record (in 1902)
Exactly 120 years ago, May 31 1902, a new land speed record was set by the Baker Electric Torpedo. It broke the 100mph barrier, and beat the previous speed record by 25 mph!

This is to remind everyone that EVs are as old as ICEs, and EV drivetrains were always more efficient and more powerful than ICE drivetrains. However, battery tech was and to this day still is a bottleneck, even after 120 years of improvement and reaching the practical limit of its potential.
