bigger problem is chargers breaking, including cables, and companies taking a long time to fix them up.

Around here, only Tesla works professionally on their chargers when it comes to maintenance and fixes.

Cable theft is a huge issue when people are driving on electric fumes trying to make it to the coal juice station, just to find out all the cables have been stolen when they get there. It will become a huge issue in the future, unless EV stations only provide a plug and everyone carries their own cable.

So why hasn't it been an issue here where charging stations have been around since 2012? It's only an issue in people's minds

Just because it hasn't affected you, doesn't mean it hasn't been an issue.

I have yet to go to a single Charger where the cable has been cut and stolen. Every single EV issue is a HUMONGOUS deal for Och. In his world, EVs will all catch on fire, infrastructure won't be available due to copper theft, and the electric grid will explode as soon as EVs reach 10% penetration

Edit: I left out his best theory...there will be a cage match at every charger because people will form massive lines to get a charge and the winner gets the spot

You should really watch your Catalytic converter. Just because it hasn't been stolen yet doesn't mean its not going to be. Hold on to it man!

you also forgot his part where the self-driving 'features' will 'never' work and will kill everyone.

I'm envisioning the casting choices for his movie. I think you're on to something.

I don't have any on my higher ride hight cars that are parked outside. The others are low to the ground or are inside, the 5.7 has full skid plates as well that would make it a major pain to get to them.....the modified ones don't have any so they would be stealing pipe.
