Sorry, not seeing the similarities at all. Both the EQS SUV and iX are low to the ground because they are EV's, but that's where the similarities end. Not even the slanted roofline is the same application.
Unlike the EQS, the iX and X5 are easily identifiable as SUV's, the only major difference proportionally is the slanted roofline which is a staple of Range Rovers, and now many other "trendy" crossovers like the GV80, Aviator, QX60 etc. But the overhang lengths, the long hood, and most importantly the less bulbous back half are those of your typical SUV.
Guess you'll have to see it in person. I had the benefit of seeing the EQS SUV and the iX back to back and it's just my opinion. I do feel strongly that no one is going to look at an EQS SUV in person and wonder if it's a minivan a la R-Class. I will give you the point on the roofline as they kept that more straight for the 3rd row. The EQE SUV, which I also saw, does. Much like the EQE sedan, I think the EQE SUV looks better than its bigger brother.

The EQE SUV will probably look better due to not having the extended rear end a-la a minivan.
I think everything I post is my opinion right? Stop telling me I can't express my opinion. You don't bother other people who post negative opinions, so don't bother me.
These Mercedes EQ threads are full of people hating on the styling of these cars but you only bother me.
sorry it bothers you, but it's your style of stating your opinions as fact, and stating your opinion in a way that implies 'everyone' agrees with you so it's de facto true, which it isn't because it's subjective.
Quote: Literally every other EV coming out from every other manufacturer is better looking than these vehicles. Yes thats clearly my opinion.
thanks for clarifying, because that literally isn't what literally means.
Benz has an established dealer network and badge. Would be nice if they also had passable looking EV's to sell.
Mercedes only has around 383 dealers across the US; not that much more than Genesis.
Genesis has at least ~300 dealers across the states - more than enough to sell.
There are only some 244 Lexus dealers across the states.
Now, it is down to whether consumers actually want to purchase a Genesis.

There's a difference between a Hyundai dealership that's licensed to sell Genesis, and an actual Genesis dealership. Genesis has had problems with setting up its dealership network and manufacturing capacity that have been thoroughly documented for years now. We've had this song and dance in other threads, you can continue to deny the facts as you please. But if you truly believe that Genesis isn't selling every single vehicle they have at a time when they have to downgrade their advanced drivers assistance suite just to make enough cars, then you are living in another universe.
Either way, this thread is about the EQS SUV, not Genesis dealerships. Design-wise, it's a joke to even compare this thing to a Genesis lol.
‘I see Ford Escape. Nothing special. The un-painted wheel well aches look awful for a luxury brand. If this were a cheap Hyundai, then no concerns
I would say the Ford Escape looks better too lol. You did see the EQS has unpainted wheel arches right? As do the vast majority of luxury SUVs.

You do exactly the same thing. Should I quote Dave calling you out for exactly that? You need to adjust your interpretation of what I say. When I say something looks a certain way, that is obviously my opinion whether I say "thats my opinion" or not, its implied. Thats on you, not me. Somehow everybody else sees its my opinion...
So you learn how to not do that, then teach me. Fair?

Actually it is what literally means.
