Our LX consistently has this issue - I've replaced the blades numerous times and keep having the same issue on the driver side. It's clearly not the blade.. It always slightly catches and squeaks at the top corner of the windshield. What's a sure fire way to address this?
Wash the windshield off with dish soap, then clay bar it very carefully. That will completely clean it off and then you can put a sealer on it for a perfectly smooth, chatter free windshield

If the claybar doesnt work, use Ajax powdered cleaner. I also wouldn't put any kind of treatment on the windshield, I have found they do more harm than good.

Depends on what you use, cheaper stuff doesn't work well. I'm curious about the suggestion for the Ajax, I've never thought to use that for this. What does it do?

Its just an abrasive powdered cleaner that works well without having a bunch of bleach or anything like that. Its an old detailers trick. You can also use steel wool.
I havent used anything that I thought worked well, RainX, Aquapel, ceramic windshield coatings, etc. Just a nice clean windshield is all you need.

Huh, interesting. I didn't know about that, I just use clay to pull anything off without scratch risk. Thanks
Odd that Aquapel didn't work for you, I've not had an issue with it or the hardening versions. A safe bet is also synthetic polymer wax, it's extremely thin so it shouldn't interfere with wipers or rain sensors/cameras

Really hard to scratch glass like that, you can use a razor blade, steel wool, etc.
For instance a trick to lessen pitting is to scrape the whole windshield down with a razor blade.
Clay bar is a great idea. I've used this on the paint/body of my cars and then waxed. Never thought of using it on the windshield. Other harsher methods may work on a pitted windshield, but my current dd's windshield is practically brand new, so nothing too harsh on that. Wiping the wipers with rubbing alcohol on a rag will help. RainX has worked great for me. No need to use wipers in the summer rain on the highway.
Use something called iron x, spray the windshield down with it let it sit and watch it turn color, then use a claybar to remove the tiny metal particles should help remove the squeaking from the wipers.
Another thing to try is clean the wiper blades with 91% ISO then coat them with a wax/coating of your choosing.

Iron X is only going to remove iron particles, whats stuck to the windshield causing that squeaking isn't iron particles.
