Potential purchase: What would you do?
What year is your LS? What type of EV are you thinking of? Also, never try to gain a vehicle based on a monthly payment. That is how a dealer pads a price and hides all kinds of profit.
jrmckinley - you're at that point of feeling not good about sinking money into and spending time on getting an older car repaired and will rationalize anything to get into something new and shiny. i get it.
lease, buy, credits, whatever, it's gonna cost $. what ev are you considering?

One thing that is in your favor is that you may get a decent price for your car now given the used car market and if you then buy a Tesla (and I believe Polestar) there is no negotiation and you pay sticker, no additional dealer markups. Kind of makes sense from that standpoint vs buying a car from a traditional dealer where you pay sticker (or above) when that same care was historically discounted $6-$8k.
Maybe they're still underpriced though. I see a nearly new 2022 Model 3 on Carvana for $6k over sticker and when I clicked on it I got a warning that it's in the process of being purchased.

That’s a lot of money for a new lease. I think I’d just keep the LS460 depending on the year.
What year is your LS and what work does it need? I see later year LS430’s going for over $10k all the time. A LWB LS460 should get that or more easy unless it’s an 07-09. Even if it was an early LS460, it’s rare to see a decent one under $10k.
