Yep, so we will just be stuck with no discounts now.
The human element is going away, don't ya know? Nobody talks anymore, they're glued to their phones. Everything will be done through screens and/or electronically from now on. It's only gonna get worse.

Buying a car today is a horrible experience lol. Do you enjoy dealing with car salespeople and being raked over the coals by the finance people trying to cajole you into buying upgraded tire air?

No, I decline all of that nonsense. I don't let salespeople bully me into things I don't need. I like interacting with people and much prefer that over sitting behind a screen doing all of my business.
What are they gonna do with the used cars sales for ev?
Also online like Carvana or something.?
That's what Tesla does for their used cars. Many OEM's just buy back lease-owned vehicles and resell them as CPO, the only difference now is they'll do it online.
This is in theory of course, like I said before there is no way dealers aren't going to go kicking and screaming taking this to court if Ford is serious about implementing it.

So I guess you go buy a car without doing any Internet research? You don't use a cell phone or computer?
The reason Ford is changing is so they can compete. You can bet other car companies will follow suit.

Where did I say I don't do research prior to visiting the dealership?

Without technology, research becomes much more difficult.

Lol, that doesn't mean I won't hop on the computer to do my homework. I just don't want physical interaction to go away but that's where we're headed.
I could use my phone to get on the internet, but it would take 45 minutes for anything to load and it would be painful on this little 1/2 inch screen of mine. Lol

In a sick way yes I do since I love messing with them
Translation to Farley's announcement: We will make more money selling online and at MSRP. We need to make more money. As the owner, I want to make more money. What matters is Ford's bottom line, not the people. This is just another big corporation taking advantage of an unforseen situation (covid). Oil companies set the stage. No one has the general public's back.

The new phones are just as fast as any PC. You should upgrade.

Yeah no.......there is zero chance a phone is anywhere near as useable as a 4 screen setup...I have over 50 tabs open right now and a game idling in the background plus music and a render finishing.
