Best tint for a black car ?
This one is called slate, probably similar to your onyx one, 20% on the front and 35% on top of the factory privacy on the rear
This one is called endurance, it is metalized, so pretty reflective, I personally like it better:

I have a black car and my tint is a titanium tint. I didn't want charcoal, but wanted a lil reflective so I chose the titanium tint. IMO reflective tints and mirror tints look the best on silver cars.

It create an image of a classy black car.
The pic i posted earlier in this thread of my Soarer (SC400) was also Endurance tint (i think!). the finish depends on the glazing on the glass- mine had a slight green hue so the tint matches the car perfectly.
Its a Very nice tint, and i havent had any trouble with the cops for it (reflective tint is supposed to be illegal).
BTW, that jag would look ok if he took the hubcap-looking rims off and got some classy 5 or 6 spoke chromes. I personally like the shiny (bling) look, but it has to be done with some balance and thought.
That said though, i have been reading my Japanese VIP Style magazine, and with all the drop-dead gorgeous cars in there, they all seem to prefer the black (or green!) tint. Chrome is everywhere else though - wheels, wing mirrors, B-pillars etc...
It depends what look you are after...
