Umm because its a FWD **** box.
There is really zero effort that went into this product and completely against what BMW brand was ever known for.

Look at the hideous styling with obnoxious out of proportion grill and fake mesh trim on rear bumper. I expect this from Hyundai, even a Civic but not a BMW.

The worst part is this poor design and cost cutting is going up all the way to their high end products and ///M cars which have been completely diluted with AWD and ZF 8speed - complete joke.

I have been an owner of BMW cars since 2008 and the “G” generation of cars that started with G30 5series back in 2017 was when the decline began.
The previous M boss, Albert Biermann, left because of the cost cost cutting.

I would agree with the FWD stuff, but really because Lexus's crossovers are a size and segment up from what the germans have for the same money.
