As for the CTS-V, we are considering the GTO, that's the one the wife likes. I'm rather partial for the Cadillac if the dealers don't mark it up to $60k
My aunt has a '03 Denali, and it's worked flawlessly. I have an '00 Silverado w/ 78K and no problems. Sorry you mom-in-law got a bad one. Don't get me wrong, though. I don't think GM reliability is even close to Lexus/Toyota. If it was, this would be ClubCadillac and I would have an STS. GM is much better than they used to be, but they still have a long way to go.
