Default Destination Assist

RE: Destination Assist.
Sometimes and even most of the times, I have a hard time hearing the soft spoken voice giving me navigation instructions. I tried to increase the volume by using the switches on the steering column with no success. Is there a way to increase the volume? Thanks, Mike

The volume **** and the volume rocker on the steering wheel change the radio and incoming telephone volume
but as you have found, not the Navigation system volume.

Press the center console "Menu" button and then select "Settings" on screen. Open up "Voice" and change from
the default "4" level to something higher. If you find that it has already been reset to a lower level try returning this
setting to the original "4".

Another trick to use for Navigation voice issues, did you realize that the steering wheel "Mode" button will mute the
radio or pause the playback if you hold it longer? When your tunes are louder than the Navigation prompt voice
you can just a) Press the "Mode" button long to mute, b) Press the center console "Map" button to have her repeat
the prompt, c) Press the Mode button long again to resume your music. Note: those models with a "Home" button
instead of Map can use an On the Map screen voice button to repeat.
