I don't have an issue with the digital clock, but I do agree that it's a bit odd that they didn't just incorporate it into the display. That's how it is in my Tundra and it works well.
I disagree. I think it looks fine. Where is the clock in your Mercedes?
My Mercedes has many clocks. It has an analog clock in the center of the dash and also shows the time in the instrument cluster and on the infotainment screen. When you have all these screens you just don't need a dedicated clock.
I'm surprised they didnt make it an analog clock since thats what every other modern Lexus has
No doubt the graphics were poor or old on the 2021 model. I just think the screen integration into the dash looked better.
I see a touch pad was also added.
The gauges in the GX before the update were bad, just water temp and fuel, no redundant speedometer or display or anything. At least give me full gauges in a truck.
Well looks is one thing, but in terms of function the current one is a total waste of space and impractical. I know because I have a 2018. Turning the AC on and off requires going through 3 screens. Adjusting fan speeds is 2 screens. Nav is garbage. So basically the current screen is good for selecting music source and adjusting temperatures.
Not to mention that you have to wait until the stupid disclaimer screen goes away. First world problems for sure, but I have having to wait and then go thru the screens on a hot afternoon just to turn on the A/C.
I dislike the nav system.
Just a guess, but if WA is correct in his location, then you don't need AC for most seasons in the Pacific Northwest
I don’t think my 17yo car has even run without the a/c compressor on. It defogs the windows and removes humidity. I don’t think it hurts a car AT ALL to leave a/c on all the time. But I don’t think it’s that humid up there?
