my kid drives my old 2012 Hyundai, it has around 110k miles on it. not a single issue.

lexus has recalls (there are couple current ones I think), everyone has recalls. But statistics do not lie. H/K/G have consistently been in the top 4 on reliability for the past several years.

 

Based on what, JD power scores? Yeah, that's really credible...

110k miles is nothing. Also I'm talking more recent vehicles. Go luck up the non-stop amount of engine recalls in the last 9 or 10 years.

You're one of those who is like "Hyundai and Kia have had 100 recalls in the last decade, but since Toyota/Lexus have had 8, it's the same since they both have had recalls."

The bottom line is, 110k miles is not nothing. I have only had two cars that I have kept past that mileage in my life. Cars can and will start to have all kinds of issues after that mileage, Toyota’s included.

 

That's more than 4 times around the earth's equator and almost half the distance to the moon.

 

JD Power is garbage.
I'm not going to do your job for you - simple google search will give you reliability studies from credible resources.

because they accept money from manufacturers, which makes their finding questinable.
there has to be a reason GM wins a lot of awards from them

 

Looking at their ratings I don’t see GM winning many awards.

 

Lexus used to pay for these awards in the early days of the brand.
