You guys aren’t going to get anywhere lol. We all know you’re right.
Ha. Welcome to Car Chat.
Just out of curiosity, since damaged Jeep-production and production-level is the topic here, you've owned two JGCs.....did you buy or lease them right of the lot, or order them special from the factory in the colors/options you wanted?
I buy off the lot. I have never ordered a car. If I was buying a car to keep forever I might be interested in that, but I can always find something that will work for 3 years on a lot somewhere.
That’s a big reason why I didn’t get a 750, I would have had to order it and I didn’t want to wait. Too many moving parts in the deal.
Chrysler won’t sell these cars, they’re insured, they’ll scrap them and move on
What else are they going to do with cars? They can't ship each one separately, or by the 8-10 that will fit on a single carrier. This is how mass production works.
Jeep is selling about 18k Grand Cherokees each month (210,000 in '20) they have to store their inventory someplace until it's shipped out to dealers. Pretty common practice.

Even though most of them probably can't be sold or leased, there are also other options, like I said earlier......they don't necessary have to be scrapped.
maybe they could salvage some parts at least? Seems reasonable.
We wont see those parts here, they might sell them in other parts of the world. Hell the whole vehicles might get sold down in the Caribbean or in Mexico etc.
