Scotty talks about Tesla’s being green

finally a non biased common sense review based on researched facts and not some fanboy touting the virtues of their favourite car.

Sounds like a critique of Scotty's entire channel. ;)

If it's going to be green, it better be BRG, even if its a Tesla.

Scotty didn't mention these specific vehicles by name, but it's obvious why FCA is paying Carbon-Credits to Tesla...so they can keep those 700 HP Super-Hemi Demons/Hellcats in the Chargers, Challengers, JGC, and some of the other SRT products in production. They are all classic gas-guzzlers by today's standards.

I agree that this was one of his better videos......here, he is actually stating facts, not one of his classic arm-waving, opinionated shows delivered at ear-splitting decibels.....although not as quiet and calmly-spoken as his latest videos from the last few months.

You have a good point Marshall as those monster engines are indeed massive has consumers. And fun to drive was in a demon that was on its 11 set of tires in its first 6000 miles. Rattled worse than a dozen cans tied to a horses tail as the torque was tearing the car apart. But man did it fly. I’d pay Tesla carbon credits to own that car too.

scotty no doubt is opinionated however in this video he does lay out the reality of car manufacturing and the processes involved from beginning to end. Most folks just consider the finished product and have no idea what goes into making them and the total cost to the environment.

Scotty plays the angry boomer so well.
no matter how many people think he's "right" it won't matter.

"without these credits Tesla would actually be losing money"
People don't give a toss about facts anymore do they, just what confirms their own bias.

“Non-biased” is usually a euphemism for “the views expressed are views that I already agree with, most likely for political reasons”.

I’ll happily declare my personal bias. I think this guy is an idiot.

I’ll also say that I don’t know a single Tesla owner who bought one for primarily environmentally-motivated reasons.

They usually buy them because they are extremely quick and because they think the technology is cool.

I like Scotty's videos.

Haha, yep. Sadly I've learned this term now means strap yourself in for a wild ride of logical fallacy.
Some of these "points" have nuggets of truth surrounded by layers of BS. Some are just out right conspiracy theories. Or maybe this one guy with zero inside information has it all figured out.

The whole carbon credit scheme was invented by boomers, making cars more expensive for the generations to come.

I'll take Jason's take on this only Scotty's any day. I actually went to college with Jason, very nice and smart guy. I am not sure how anyone can even watch Scotty and listen to his voice.

Folks we’ve had plenty of threads complaining about Scotty or supporting him. Let’s keep to discussion about details the content of his video if you want to comment please.

The fact is that many of the production and recycling methods used in the production and disposal of so-called "Green" components are not always so green....and all Scotty did was correctly explain it. In fact, although I was aware of the use of fossil-fuels for much of the country's electrical-generation, I earned some things myself, from this video, that I was not aware of previously.....among others, that it is is much harder to recycle BEV batteries and their lithium than regular ICE lead-acid batteries.
