Lexus IS500 F SPORT Performance
This isn't directed toward anyone on here but I wish everyone, society would shut up about EPA ratings and gas mileage.
Here is a small, lively sedan powered by a NA V8. Gas mileage is the last thing I care about.

Loads of posts about EVs, gas prices, teslas, etc. deleted - they're all off topic.
this is about the IS500, a car we should be celebrating, not whining about gas prices and how an EV is cheaper to run.

LOL I've been a roll, so let me make my final post on this thread count. The IS500, a car that I "want", but don't "need". From everything I've read, I believe it's going to be a hit and a hard car to acquire on the used market for years to come. For me the formula is perfect...an NA high reviving V8 paired with an F-Sport tuned chassis. Not an F car, but an inbetween tribute to an engine that's going away forever. I'm glad Lexus stuck with tried and true, didn't twin turbo it or try to go for 600 plus HP. They will hopefully get the chassis tuning right so you can take it to its limits and not worry about putting it into a tree.
As I mentioned in early posts, I've contemplated buying one, but I just can't justify it. Like my IS350, the trunk is too small and the backseats are pretty cramped. Especially with cars I've always tried to stay practical, so I'll probably have to pass on this great car

i certainly couldn't justify my LC500 - i tell people "stupidest purchase i ever made, but i love it"
LC500 is a great car. At the Lexus event in September I have it on my list as one of the cars I'm going to drive
You only live once. We are about to drop coin on a brand new boat, I guess that could be a "stupid purchase" too. But I'll sure enjoy being on the lake 5-7 days a week.
I don’t care for the fact that Lexus is using an older model engine…but for those who are enthusiastic about Lexus…this new model is a sensational offering. Something you can’t get a Acura, or Genesis or anyone of the German brands.

. All models will be 2021, no 2022. Good news is I will be able to try out the RC-F!
