MDX is their flagship, that's beyond obvious now. That interior is whole level above TLX in looks department, some proper premium layout lines.

So this likely means that the current TLX interior is a lame-duck until it gets refreshed in a few years to match this. If the TLX never gets the fully digital instrument cluster then it will look much less desirable than its competition.

From KBB: Standard engine will retain a 3.5V6, now with 10 speed auto, while the Type S will get the 3.0 Turbo V6 from TLX Type S

Inside and out not bad at all. The MDX will continue to sell very for Acura and attract new buyers.

Exterior looks a lot like the CX-9. Not that that's a bad thing, but I expected it to be more muscular based on the leaked teasers.

Interior is far superior to the TLX.

Here's hoping this is less of a compromised effort than the TLX, and the price is reasonable.

1) I get a alfa romeo/maserati vibes from this MDX which I think is good design.
2) The interior is good. Spot on to the person who leaked those infotainment options. While I`m not taken back by the interior as BMW X7 levels of quality and material use, I think its good for the now and whatever rolls out from the established players mainly RX, QX and the base models of the european competition.
3) The big thing also that I think will get some praise from those who believe 4 cylinders are not enough (myself included due to the noise they make) is that the base engine is still a NA v6. Props to them for keeping it.
4) Massage seats in premium non-luxury Acura (at least what some folks say)...oh man others better up their game.

Overall I think buyers will be happy who own an MDX product, and those who are looking to get into one will not be let down.

I like it. Don't think i would spend $40k+ on it, but definitely pick it up as a used $30k vehicle a few years down the road.

What a lovely looking front end....very classy and LED lights are not overdone

I see Acura now has 10-speeds? Lexus as well....does anyone else in auto world offer 10-speeds?

No way it'll be that cheap. Acura made a big deal about aiming upmarket in the press release, so this will be at the very least at the price range of the Genesis GV80 ($50-$75K), perhaps even higher like the TLX.

Whether that strategy will net them more sales, we'll see.

Aside from the extra seats and digital gauges it is almost the same basic design, MDX is a little better equipped of course being that it is more expensive.
