A week ago my check engine light came on. It said cylinder 5 was misfiring. I just changed all the spark plugs, coil packs, and wires. I even changed my MAF. It worked great for about a week and today my check engine light came back on and a diagnostic said that now cylinder 3 is misfiring. I just replaced yet again the spark plug in cylinder 3 and its still acting the same way gasping for air. Help please.

 

You should post this question in the forum for your model/generation. What year, model are you working on and what is the odometer reading? Are the coil packs OEM or of equal quality? Have you tried swapping the cylinder 5 coil with one of your good original coils? When you say "gasping for air," what exactly are the symptoms? Any gasping noises should prompt an inspection for vacuum leaks focusing in the areas where you were performing the recent work.
