"Better rims" is relative, the S Class has a ton of rim options, it actually limits you to only two options for rims. You get different front and rear bumpers, side skirts, AMG rims and aluminum pedals.

The Sport Package includes the front & rear bumpers, side skirts, and AMG rims for $5,900 MSRP. But then there is another $750 for 20" AMG rims. Fortunately I bought mine used so this really didn't factor into the price. But it looks great.

My only issue with the 20s is they do impact the ride, I would stay with the 19s if I got one. The 20s do look great.

I think this new S class is going to be a huge disappointment to traditional buyers, may sort of be Mercedes version of the LS500 but people will still buy it considering it is a S class.

I wonder if Mercedes is looking at Tesla and trying to get a chunk of that market? The Model S has sold better than the S-class and isn't too much cheaper. It's also not the epitome of luxury like the S-class, but still sells amazingly well for a sedan. Mercedes will possibly lose the traditional S-class buyer with all these changes, but might make up for that by pulling in some younger tech-savvy buyers. We have more younger wealthy individuals than ever before, so Mercedes might be on to something.

They should have kept them circular, just like a Bentley or Rolls.

I really am eager to see this whole thing revealed. Where is the leather and wood?

hmmm. Maybe it will look better in person with better scale. But I already dislike the pop out door handles.

It's another Tesla cash grab like the all-iPad interior.

I like all the tech and infotainment features except for the overkill with HUD. I am OK with displaying some vehicle info, signage and directions on the HUD, but the dynamic arrows directing me to turn is just a bit much. I hope the Nav system is also not giving voice prompts at the same time to turn. IMO, this will lead to information overload and become very distracting, resulting in loss of awareness of the surroundings. In any case, I hope some of these spoon-feeding gimmicks can be turned off, and not suck out all the enjoyment out of driving a beautiful flagship car.
