Yupp not a problem.

I am going to get the windshield done in 40% I will post daytime nighttime pics of my 50% and the new 40% so people can see the difference themselves. I am also upgrading my low beam oem philips bulbs to osram night breaker lasers and I have dual projector headlights with 1600 Lumen Led bulbs for high beams (800 lumens per bulb) this is being done in my RX.

I have 35% on my SC and LS430’s. It’s not too dark at all, especially with the bright factory LS430 headlights. It really helps with all of the crazy bright headlights I see at night. 35% is about as low as I’d recommend though. I knew a few guys with 15-25% on their windshields and it looked crazy dark.

I’ve gotten so used to the tint that I hated driving my ES’ and GX470 that didn’t have windshield tint. The bright headlights on everyone’s cars really hurt my eyes.

Thanks for this post! Those Nightbreakers are impressive! My 2007 E92 has OSRAM Cool Blues which were supposedly the best when I bought them 5 years ago. But I didn't feel they were that much brighter than the OEM Philips.

BTW, I put 3m Crystalline 40% on my side and rear windows of my 530e. I also put 70 on the windshield. I feel like the glare from cars at night from the sides and behind is much less yet it doesn't seem too dark to see at night. The biggest gain for me was how much cooler the car is in the summer.

I know it looks super dark but inside visibility is perfect I said the same thing to my tinter about it being crazy dark then she sent me a video moving from the outside to the interior and it is night and day difference, I think she said it has to do with how much glass is on the RX and the windshield shape.

That's so dark, you might even get some citizen's arrest action for the tint ...

Did you tint the headlights as well?

Take a look at their own police-vehicles. You couldn't see the noonday sun through some of them LOL

In my LS430 I get pulled over at least 3-10 times a month in the summer time usually the police are chill when I show them my exemption sticker but sometimes I get a cop who is pissed because he/she cant write me a ticket I just smile and be polite. This is my LS that has 50% dyed tint on the windshield

I have people say stuff to me about the tint sometimes lst summer I had one lady scream at me at a gas station about how "I was endagering her and her children's lives because I want to pretend to be Paul Walker" from the F&F films lmao

The headlights are not tinted the surround is painted black actually I thought they would look really good with the moonlight pearl.

I just wouldn't want to deal with being pulled over once a week

this.
I had 70% on my Infiniti and had no issues. Probably the darkest I will go on my RC 350.

I realize the OP has a medical waiver, but going through the hassle of being pulled over once for illegal tint was enough for me. I will always use legal tint going forward.

70% windshield nobody will tell.

That looks really good on both cars! It’s good that you have the medical exemption for the tint. I’ve only been pulled over for windshield tint once in nine years. It’s worth having if the cops aren’t too bad in your area.

35/40% isn’t really that noticeable on a light colored interior. Assuming your not running 5% tint on the rest of the car, it’s not very noticeable. On dark color interiors the tint looks very dark from the outside.

Where did you get your Osram bulbs? I considered buying a pair off eBay but I don’t want to get a fake pair. That’s a big difference from our OEM bulbs.
