Article on training requirements in Cambridge assembly plant
Not sure if this is allowed, but here is a link to an article published today. Talks to the amount of training that line workers must go through before they get to do their job! Note that I have acquaintances that say no one is offered a permanent job (all start as contractors) until they prove they can do the job and have the right fit. I've toured the plant, will likely go again this Spring. For us owners, they provide a great lunch at a beautiful boutique hotel not far from the plant. Really a nice outing.

It pretty is impressive the amount of effort Toyota goes through to make sure Lexus cars and suvs are top notch and very well built. Lexus gets that extra level of care. I have noticed that Lexus is definitely better built than most mainstream cars. The higher level Lexus models like the LS and LX are definitely on par with the Germans.
Interesting that master training is still in Japan. .03 mm panel variation, impressive.
