Quote: Even though they are massively discounted, the Bolt/Volt are too expensive for being compact cars. Hope this larger one is priced more realistically.
I don't know why anyone would buy a Bolt when you could get into a Model 3 for not much more. The Bolt looks like a toy, basically what would be a $16K ICE car and they want $35K+ for it.

It's often much easier simply buying or leasing a Bolt. Unlike Tesla shops, Chevy dealerships are everywhere, their price-structure allows discounting if the dealer sees fit, and Chevy shops, on request, seem more willing to recharge Bolts for their customers, as a courtesy. So a Bolt won't outrun some sports cars like a Tesla 3 does...big deal. The average person neither drives that way or buys a BEV to do that.

here's a few.

1. cargo room.

tesla 3
seats up 15ft seats down 43ft

bolt
seats up 17ft seats down 56.6ft

2. gauges in front of the driver. not an issue to 3 owners apparently and i wouldn't have an issue if they offered hud, but no gauges or hud, no interest (for me).

3. dealers (yes i said dealers!) ... tesla has few locations to get a vehicle checked/fixed. gm has zillions.

Agreed. I forgot to mention that above, but, yes, that would be a factor not only for me but a number of other drivers as well. If you remember, center-stack gauges was one of the reasons why vehicles like the Saturn Ion, Toyota Echo, and several Scion models were unsuccessful in the long run (and why the Kia Soul outsold the Scion xB).
