Thumbs up He's back... with a new toy...

Howdy Club Lexus!!
Had to, painfully, part ways with the Vette due to numerous issues (mostly practicality with teenage kids ). Drove about every mid-range sedan (Lexus, BMW, Merc, Audi, Toyo, etc. etc. etc) looking what could get me back to a DD for me (Vette and Cruze went buh-bye, Missus drives the 2019 Ram now). The winner is...

2019 Genesis G70 3.3T AWD. No worries about any season, no worries about hauling the kiddos, no worries with power and handling, no worries PERIOD....been traveling so I'll try to give fuller review later (if anyone wants one) but suffice at 1,000 miles right now she NEVER fails to impress. About 3/10ths slower than the Stingray 0-60 so surprising power BUT... traffic and twisties NO ONE has left me. Ran with a new M5 coming back from Chicago and straightaways he left but as soon as we hit traffic, I negotiated in and out much easier... there's just no lag time. Interior- perfect! Instrumentation well laid out and simple but efficient. Finish- top notch. Info/entertainment- easy, quick and sound system ROCKS

I love, love, love it and and looking to get some serious seat time in now that travel has slowed.. good to stop by, hope all my old Car Chatters are well !!!!

Welcome Back! G70 is a great choice! The 2.0T piqued my interest if only for a new lux sport sedan with a 6MT, but the 3.3T is fluid waves of power for sure. Lease or purchase?

Excited to see how your Genesis journey progresses.

Congrats! The G70 is definitely on my short list, probably in a similar spec to yours... Will be interested to see any updates on it!

Well, look who's back....and, true to form, with a new ride....Congratulations Missed you for quite some time, Russ. Not surprised you chose a G70. I was very highly impressed with the one I reviewed last winter...a 2.0TT. The workmanship in these cars is amazing....no cheap materials just indifferently thrown together on an assembly line. Not much room in the back seat, but that is typical of small sedans, especially sport-sedans like these. Enjoy it...but take it easy during the break-in. Long break-ins today are less-important than in the past....but you still want to take it easy on the throttle and brakes for maybe the first 500 miles or so.

I saw your exact car at the dealer when my wife had her car in for service. It's one of the best-looking sedans out. I was shocked out good it looked in person. Every angle was nice, and that white just pops in the sun. There is no way I'd get a BMW 340 or S4 over this especially since it costs 15 grand more for similar performance.

Howdy Mike, missed everyone as well. I decided to stay away from Genesis manny trans as I heard some issues in the past but after the Vette and Stang, quite comfortable with auto tranny w/paddle shifters.... and they're a BLAST on the G70!!!! As my break in in over... heh, heh, heh...
