yes i love the GX460 always have and plan on getting one someday. i know for a fact of what they can really do. they are seriously tough as nails. did a video demo with one 2 years ago and threw it into a mud pit. literally impossible to get stuck in. its a beautiful and all around awesome SUV, but dear god it needs a real redesign. it deserves one!

That maybe the case but what about the other vehicles who have recently all gotten a stop gap refresh as well:
Rollout Plans:
MY2023/4 for the GX
MY22/23 for the RX
MY21 LX
MY22/23 NX
The investments in all the other models have been pretty hefty, and all rely on old non TGNA architecture. Yet ye ole GX was meh at best. I guess the GX is really the middle child. Again this seems like this model was planned for launch to MY16/17 with the LX, but then pushed back. The baby "LX" moniker folks been referring this as lol.

Toyota is just milking their truck platforms at the moment. they probably make enough sales off of them to be happy and aren't in a rush for whatever financial reason. They are probably tuning their TTV6 in the new LS for the new trucks and we won't see them for another who knows how long

Yup way too long in the tooth. I have been a long time GX owner, both first and second gen with my last one being a 2012 that I had for 6 years, which is way longer than I usually hold on to a car but each update/refresh wasn’t enough of a change for me to upgrade while I waited for a new model, not a minor refresh. Because they keep refreshing the GX I got tired of waiting and moved on and got something completely different and couldn’t be happier. Maybe when Lexus gets off their butt and presents a completely new model I’ll be back but I’m not holding my breath anymore.

12 years but the last update really kept it vibrant and in MY21 total replacement
9 years but the last update on this chassis is basically the same.
