And that is what is interesting. I think it might have to do with expectations. For example, I drive my 4Runner into a Nissan lot, and take a Rogue out, a V8 full time 4WD will feel like a vastly different experience than a 4 with a CVT. If I drove my Corolla into the Nissan dealer, then I would get a better comparison. And our Matrix with a 2.4 and a 5 Auto is much more sporty and firm. Forget the LX450 which is like driving a tractor and gets 10MPG. So, if you are used to driving your Highlander or GS and go into a 4 cylinder with a CVT, very likely you won’t enjoy the experience. Nowgo drive a MB GLC AMG 43 (drove last two weeks) after you drive your HL or GS, and you might build upon the experience you are currently having.

That's true; but there's not really much that is better about it vs the class leaders... other than price and the availability of 3-rows in certain trim levels.

True, but the current price-leading Rogue-Sport Model starts at only 22K.

Indeed, but I don't consider that to be a competitor to the RAV4 or CR-V. At about a foot shorter, I would consider the Rogue Sport to be in a smaller class.

Also, the base 2019 RAV-4 is notably cheap inside. I was not impressed with the base version at all when I looked at it. I'm not sure it is worth even the 25-26K they want for the base version. The CR-V, in general, has noticeably better materials inside.

I agree that the Rogue Sport occupies one of those odd, in-between categories between the C-class CUVs (Rogue) and the B-Class CUVs (Juke, Kicks). In that sense, it is somewhat similiar to the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport, although Mitsubishi has such a sparse dealer-network and low sales that it is not even a minimal player in the American market anymore. I included it, though, because it is technically part of the Rogue line-up.
