Interesting. I like Mat Watson's reviews. He delivers the info and doesn't take himself too seriously.

surprised how little attention this thread has... the tesla x may have more range, but the eqc destroys the x in luxury and famliarity, plus, hey, it's a mercedes.

some super cool features shown here, like the power hidden tow hitch.

and the details in this related video shows how mercedes is bringing some of their century of experience to bear...

can you tell i'd like to own one of these?

His actual review of the vehicle itself (and his general overall style), to me, seems a little stuffy and sarcastic, but he does a good job of explaining the vehicle's cruise-control, charging system, current-use, and the electric-car friendliness of Norwegian culture.

I missed this thread so glad to see it refreshed,

Looks like a great vehicle - I like it a lot. A couple of the reviewers said during the videos that the EQC was Mercedes' first electric vehicle, so they forgot a car I nearly bought which was the B Class Electric, a car which if I remember right actually used drivetrain components from Tesla.

Good to see more of these coming to market. The Audi e-Tron is an interesting vehicle too.

Looks great I agree. I think I read this electric model is built on the same line as the gas models. Big advantage for MB

Built in the same plant as the GLC. I still can't get around the look of the rear of the vehicle, To me, it looks like a hearse or something Lincoln would build...lol, like the old MKX

i have yet to see this vehicle in inventory across dealerships. unless this vehicle starts to get traction it's still just a vehicle comparison not a market share discussion. i'd definitely be interested in considering this car

This and the Audi E Tron are both expected to be around the $75,000 with a full $7,500 tax credit. Both are so much better looking inside and out then the Model X. The Model X sales dropped from 2,175 units in March of 2019 to 1,050 in April. Tesla lost $700 million in the first quarter of this year so they can not afford to lower their prices. Not helping that Consumer Reports listed their ten dogs to avoid and the Model X is #1. When the rebate goes to $1,875 on July 1st and disappears 1/1/2020 the Model X will die a quick death. Come on Lexus where is your EV. I will be one of the first in line to purchase.

I wonder what will happen to tall thos supercharger stations once Tesla takes it's last breath. I'm sure someone will buy them, but I doubt they are going to want to maintain that infrastructure, especially to give away free power.

the superchargers could easily be adapted with the standard connectors and become a nice revenue stream for all EVs.

Very impressive, filled with a lot of do dads. Love the trailer hitch. I'm happy to see these EV's slowly coming out. Range is disappointing though, only 220 miles. Audi E-tron is similar at 204 mi. I'm thinking ~300mi will be the sweet spot to achieve like the Tesla. Can't wait to see all the new models coming out in the next 2 years.

Whe the hell do they need to add some weird looking styling inside and out to the electric cars? Why not just make them normal without any quirks, and slap electric drivertrain in there?

Obviously the Merc is a million times better than the Tesla, but still has styling elements that look out of place.

Ford did exactly that with the Ford Focus Electric.....until they (foolishly, IMO) discontinued it.
