The Z does NOT have back seats on any model. And surprisingly two people CAN sit in the back unlike the SC430's room which can accomodate roughly Two 6-Packs...one on each side. I never did quite undertsand why Lexus didn't just make it a 2-Seater?
The SC 430 is a retractable hardtop about what, 178in in length. The G35 is a 2+2 coupe, with a 112 inch wheelbase with a backseat large enough for my dogs nuts. I don't get it either.

So what you're saying is that the 350z and G35 have back seats but its basically a two seater

No, the G35 have two usable backseats with ample legroom because of its long wheelbase, but due to the sloping roofline, would not be comfortable for people over, say, 5 ft 6.

would be like people using Soarer or Aristo badges.it's cooh if you're trying to do the 'JDM thing'...

I have a few more pix of it. ill find later n post. His car is new so he hasnt had time to do anything to it.
I looove the wheels and thos huge brakes!! I think his brakes are larger than my wheels

I dont think it has changed much, they're busy getting ready for their big car show in a few weeks....but you never know

No, the 350z has NO back seat. The G35 does have a back seat, but you'd have to be a short torsoed amputee to enjoy much time back there, although it seems to be better than the WORTHLESS SC430 "leather shelf".

yeah don't understand where all that space went off to. The car is freaking 182 inches, which is a behemoth in terms of lengh for a two door car, yet has a worthless trunk and a worthless backseat.

now how did i see this comin'? but since there are comments and questions, i will jump in here. the backseat is not quite useless. i recently rode in the back of mine (dont ask, really long night) and the only problem that i had was the headroom. but since i spend so little time back there its not a problem. the wheelbase is the same as the sedan so the legroom should be fine........

Those that said the backseats of the G35 coupe is worthless likely have not sat in them, unless he/she is a basketball player. I'm 5'10'' and I find the legroom quite adequate, but my head is pressed against the rear windshield, a case of Infiniti sacrificing practicality for style.
The backseats should be fine for kids and any average size women.

i've sat in it and i think the seats in the back of a 330ci or an M3 are much better. They also have a real trunk, AND, listen to this... they've accomplished it all with a shorter vehicle. *GASP*

That is true, but most people that buys a coupe version of a model usually do not have rear seat space/comfort as a high priority, and go for the style of a sport coupe instead.

If rear seat utility is a concern, they would have picked the sedan, and the G35 sedan has a longer wheelbase than the BMW 3 series sedan and is much roomier at the back, with space comparable to the 5 series Bimmer.

I would also like to add that there is much more to differentiate between the G35 coupe and the sedan than between the BMW 3 series coupe and sedan where the major difference is the two doors.
The G35 coupe shares no body panels with the G35 sedan and is wider and lower and have a much different profile. I look at the G35 coupe as a more luxurious 2+2 version of 350Z than it is a coupe version of the G35 sedan.

well that is true but its nice that the 3 series has been able to incorporate ALL those things and still have great looks, handling, and performance.

The G35/Infinity has done what many car makers have tried and tried to do over the years..........de-thrown BMW in "overall" package in this class!

Uh-oh, you may have provoked another debate over BMW vs. Infiniti beaten to death in the Bimmer/Nissan forums

Frankly, I love both the G35c and the 330ci, but picked the Infiniti because it is fresher & nowhere near as common, and also expect it to be more trouble-free.
