Default The 2020 Buick LaCrosse we won't get

GM is snagging its new 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder LSY engine it uses in the Cadillac XT4 for duty here. It makes 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, and is mated to GM's nine-speed automatic transmission.

China will be the only market to see this generation of LaCrosse as GM plans to exclusively produce it in its Shanghai facility.

This does not look very good. The outgoing model that mmarshall has is a much better looking version

The 2020 looks good. I'd never consider one, but looks great nonetheless.

With 18" wheels and 50-series tires, I'd wager that it rides a lot better, too. Look at those ridiculous rubber-band tires on the 2020.

I imagine 18's might still be an option.

They always pick their flashiest models for marketing.

But i'm with you on hating the rubber-band tire look.

Both Lacrosses are nice looking sedans, shame it is going away in the US.

It is easy to be fooled with the 2020 pic. The car pictured is lowered, with oversized "stance" wheels that stick out, a lowered suspension, and dark tinted windshield. As I have been saying for decades, lower any sedan and it will look 10 times better. But reality always strikes when these cars are released. Nearly always, these tease pics end up turning into another standard, basic, toned down, and often boring-looking sedan (in this case, one with a dumpy butt and ungainly fenders). Having an eye to see through all the above listed stuff saves a lot of disappointment.

The E class has a 4 cylinder T. I am sure the Chinese buyers are ok with it.

Yes, and that's the most disgusting example which is funny that you brought it up.

You're probably right, though. We aren't even getting this car.

And yes, $80k gets you a 4 cylinder E-Class in 2019. That I'm not okay with and never will be.

10 years ago you could get an E550 with a honkin 382HP NA V8...where have the good old days gone? (Rhetorical)
