Lightbulb importation of Japanese сars in the United States

Hello. Sorry. Please tell me why cars are not imported to the USA from the USA? Simply, Japanese cars of the domestic market are very well-assembled and reliable.

Japanese built vehicles are imported every day. We have two in my household.

Who would want a RHD Lexus LS when the proper LHD model is already imported? I do not get the point of you post. Many models in Japan are exported around the world with left hand drive or right hand drive.

Why do few people deliver right-handed cars in the US? Why are there so few of them?

I'm just interested because in Russia there are left-handed cars and right-handed but right-handed in Russia it is considered quality and reliable and therefore I wonder whether it is in the United States or not

Our right hand drive vehicles are called mail trucks.

In the U.S., and in most other countries outside of Japan, Britain, and Australia, it is custom (and law) to drive on the right side of the road. That is generally made easier when the driver is sitting on the left.....all else equal, it is easier to see the centerline of the road, judge vehicle-distances, and turn left across traffic with that configuration. Of course, in the few countries where one drives on the left side of the road, it is easier for drivers to be sitting on the right.....hence right-hand drive.

.......and then there's Russia, where you often have drivers on both sides of the road at once, but that is another whole story LOL.

In response to your other question, the reason we have right-hand-drive mail vehicles in the U.S. is that, unlike most other driving situations, postal-carriers in rural areas with one-lane roads (and even on most two-lane roads) often have to stop and deliver mail to mailboxes on the side of the road. That not only is easier with right-hand-drive, but also helps keep the carrier out of the flow of traffic where he or she could be hit.

Back when Saturn was still producing their famous S-series plastic-bodied vehicles (Darn, I miss them), they also did, for the American market, a special-order right-hand drive S-series small wagon, intended primarily for mail use.

What is the issue? Same vehicle is or was available in North America with LHD.
