Key fob"s getting hacked
There was a news story that Ford,Chevy and some others are getting their key fob's hacked. The bad guys can even follow you home and hack it while it is in your house. They said that there are key fob covers that can prevent it from happening. I remember years ago that was happening to credit cards. Has anyone hear of this happening to Lexus?
From what i understand, car manufacturers use light encryption (40bit?) on their rfid fobs. Part of the solution is increasing that to 256bit encryption. With that said, it's a wireless tech and as with most things wireless, can be hacked.
