New year, new truck:
#16
I had a deal done and ready to sign (Big Horn Crew Cab, 4x4, 5’7”, Hemi with eTorque - ~$48k+ MSRP - $34,500), but changed my mind. Truck didn’t have the center console (don’t care for front “bench”), and I’m not sold on buying first year model, especially with eTorque. If/when I pull the trigger, I might have to special order - ideal combo would be Laramie CC with long bed, level 1 package (not needed, but it seems to be the only way to get the center console/front bucket seats), and V6 (never tow, would be nice to get ~20 mpg). In the meantime, the ‘06 Tundra is getting timing belt/water pump changed - should be an easier sell when the time comes.

Mild changes to the intake setup, and the exhaust manifolds are now stainless steel instead of cast iron, which solves the problem if the manifold bolts breaking every 30-40k miles.

Congrats!!
My business partner has the previous generation and his parents just got a brand new Limited trim one. We were out on the eastern shore yesterday and they met us for drinks (they live out there), I got to see it. Its AWESOME! What a truck.

Did you get to ride in it? You have to see the way that new Rams ride and isolate you from road noise to believe it. Not quite Lacrosse, but close.

No, I didn't get a chance to ride in it. I've driven the pervious gen, and I've ridden in my buddy's previous gen obviously though.

I know you don't always listen to me or think I know what I'm talking about, but, if you get a chance to test-drive a new Ram 1500, do it. It will be worth the trip to the dealership...or to your friend's house. Trust me, you will be not be disappointed....if the tire pressures are correct. My only beef with it was the rotary-tranny-****, but you're probably already used to that in the Pacifica.
