Default High mileage 2014-2015 Lexus IS350 F Sport.

I'm in the market for a 2014-2015 Lexus IS350 F Sport and unfortunately, all the models that I'm finding with the specs I want have 100,000kms and the other one has 125,000kms on it. What are some things I should look for before purchasing or feel for?

You might be better off asking this in the IS - 3rd Gen forums.

But I'll start by saying this. I have a coworker who's recently been in the market for one as well, and has been trying to get one through Carvana. Some stuff he's found with the two he's gotten so far are:
  • Paint bubbling - in this case due to PDR
  • Nearly bald tires
  • Resprayed panels
  • Streaks in the wheel finish
  • Scratches on the steering wheel
  • Door panel scratches (that couldn't be repaired, apparently)
If you are looking at one, definitely just take a thorough look at it. And by that I mean, if you're done inspecting it in 5 minutes, you're not done. For minor stuff, you might not be dissuaded from buying it, like the door panel scratch or even the worn-down tires or messed-up wheels. However, if something is resprayed, double-check the Carfax and see what accidents are on it, if any. If none are listed, I'd start to worry.

And of course, avoid the water-damaged ones too, unless you are okay with the risk. Lots of those are popping up in Texas and Florida.

Otherwise, you can use Lexus Drivers to look up service history, I believe - if not, I would definitely try to find a way to ensure the service of the car has been kept on schedule. Anyway, that's a pretty crucial part of taking care of a car, beyond fixing those obvious cosmetic things I mentioned before. Honestly, being able to see the car in person is the only way to know if it's right. And try not to get dazzled by the "Ooh, shiny!" that happens when looking at a new car. Look at it critically. Best of luck!
