No we do not want another RXL. The LX has more than enough space and the only downfall to that is the middle row is not movable so you cant allocated more space to the 3rd row. Surprisingly, the GX can.
personally disagree...there are 4 escalade esv owners in family alone who've graduated from regular 3-row SUVs due to the trunk space and rear room, tho all are not the biggest fans of american vehicles on the whole. it's a no-brainer move for those able to afford a 80K SUV with 2-3 kids to choose the ESV at that point, and dont blame them.
having those same options - sliding 2nd row with ample 3rd row leg room and the ability to carry large suitcases in the trunk alike, would bring some folks over though now, the new Navigator L is pretty damn amazing
Lexus could take the Sequoia and make an LX 570L which would make more room in the third row and some behind the third row and make it more luxurious...
why would they take Sequoia instead of lengthening the wheelbase? How can that make sense.

The Sequoia platform is already there, no need to increase cost of lengthening the wheelbase, total length, width and height of the LX. The Sequoia's wheel base is 9.8 inches longer than the LX, Sequoia's total length is 8.1 inches longer, Sequoia's width is 2.3 inches wider and Sequoia's height is 3.6 inches taller.
Absolutely there is a minivan resemblance in the LX. Especially on the highway where the suspension system lowers it at highway speeds. Pre facelift lx570, it does not.

I saw the inspirational LX today, someone was on a test drive. What a hideous thing. And to think one has to pay about $2000 extra for this thing is just absurd. And then, for $100k large, a $65 cargo net is a dealer added accessory. Sad to see Lexus doing this.
How does changing the color of trim make the vehicle "hideous"?
.
The rims changed, all the chrome is blacked out, the front is blacked out. All so they can charge you. The current LX looks bad in every color and angle. This blacked out model looks even worse, which is why I say it looks hideous.
Not everything by Lexus is good looking.

They're the same rims, they're just black. Nobody is making consumers buy this model, its available as an option. If you like the blacked out look (I personally don't), then $2,000 is not unreasonable to have all that trim blacked out and the wheels powder coated black. You'd pay that and more if you did it yourself.
We get it, you hate the LX. We've heard it over, and over, and over again. Personally I think its quite good looking. I agree not everything from Lexus is good looking, but I don't see how changing the color of trim makes something "hideous"

You sound offended, which I don’t get why. I just don’t like the looks of the LX. It’s just a personal opinion that is different than yours. If they painted the LX all pink, I would say it went from hideous to downright rediculously ugly. I believe a color can definitely make a car look even worse. Pre-refresh 2016 looked really nice and elegant, as did every other Lexus LX. .

I'm not offended, I don't own an LX. You just have a way of asserting your opinion as fact on subjects that are subjective, such as styling. Theres a difference between saying "I don't like the looks of it" and saying "its hideous".
We know you don't like the looks of the LX, we get to hear you talk about it in every thread that comes up about the LX.

Thought I made clear in my last post that it it my opinion that the Lexus LX looks hideous. You don’t have to agree. It’s just an opinion.
