Lol I think the amber looks better, it stands out. But your point is valid.

As I was leaving the gym today one was parked next to me. It was nice but I don't think fully loaded.

Anyway, up close you can tell it's a crossover, and not a heavy, bulky thing as it appears (to me). Looks much smaller when you look up close. Also, it's not too high off the ground. My truck dwarfed it.

But I still like the way these things look and I'm sure they're nice to drive.

vs Telluride interior

Absolutely agree. At least transfer over those styling elements to the Telluride.

Top level SX trim has black wheels--that's the best way to ID it. For me, that's the biggest factor as to why I'd go with the Palisade over the Telluride--I hate the black wheels. I'm surprised they are standard, and not optional..

While a nice car, they have not proved as reliable as other American-market Kias. Consumer's Reports indicates a below-average reliability rating. Their ride quality, though reasonably comfortable, is also not as plush as the Impala/Lacrosse GM competition. But the materials and assembly-care used in them, like with most Kias, are impressive.

Test drove the new 2020 RX350 yesterday and thought it was nice - an improve over my 2010 RX but wasn't anything extraordinary. After reading all the great reviews on the Telluride, I decided to go for a test drive today. They only had a mid trim EX but I thought it was every bit as good as the new 2020 RX - quiet, smooth ride with better feature set. Both could use more power but for the price, the Telluride was very impressive.

Styling of the Toyota Highlander looks so much better but the interior design and layout of the Telluride looks more functional and I like the upright design better. Are they still using the ancient 3.8? If so…that is cool as there are no more big V6s out there anymore. (My 4.0L is so awesome compared to the tiny motors of today)

Still lacking Wireless CarPlay, and no touch entry unlock/lock handles on the rear doors (small but important touch point, particularly for parents).

What cars are the same price point have rear door unlock/lock touch sensors?

Everything looks great except the tacked on, Lego looking front and rear bumper pieces. Most owners and future owners also don't like the change in headlights.

Not really sure how common it is but I can tell you that both my parent's 2019 RAV4 and my sister's 2020 Highlander have sensors on the rear doors.
