I like the DRL combined with the headlight instead of separated.
The taillights look really dark in these renderings; I hope the taillights on the actual car are not as dark.

Did the RC have the small nav screen prior to this facelift?

2015-2017 Yes

2018 got the bigger 10.3", but the interior (specifically the climate area) was the old IS interior. 2019 gets rid of the overhangs

I know, I was showing the small screen 2015-2017. Second pic is a 2018 with big screen but old bezel

Carmaker1, what do you want this thread merged with? due to limitations in the search here, i can't find other 'rc' threads.

He posted one in the RC forum. Leave them separate, as what usually happens with new Lexus models, one thread in that respective forum, one thread in Car Chat.

I guess I'll be the first to say I mostly feel the changes are a lateral move or a downgrade. Overall, the car looks more homely, less sporty, less crisp, and less dynamic. While the previous front headlights were busy, the new units are now too large to be sporty. Looks close to what a typical sedan or downmarket car could have. And the taillights are now too large. Worse though, are the huge chunks ripped out of the edges of the rear bumper. Way overstyled back there. Do however like the new interior colors and trim. Looks like some sort of simulated wood is making it's way back in, unlike on the IS.
Curious to see what the new gray exterior color looks like in person.

Concave triple LED headlights were the coolest feature on the car, they are so bold in person as they allow nose to protrude forward and that flat space between headlights and tip of the nose is what gives it aggression. I also liked the sculpted two layered taillights as well.

I also wonder why they made the taillight cluster so big when the coupe trend is thin cluster. I would say cost saving as now whole tail light is under one leveled housing.

Looks much better I think. I guess the RC-F is next ?
A little off topic, but when are they going to show some love to their bread & butter model RX? It's been out for sometime now without any major updates, besides the latest limo addition.

Well 2016 - 2018 are the same. So either 2019 or 2020 will be your refreshed RX.

The exterior changes are welcome, but the overall MMC is disappointing. This means another 2-3 years before a powertrain upgrade (of +5hp probably!)....sigh.

I highly doubt the 3.5-liter will continue to the next generation of RC. Given that we are just now seeing this refresh, we probably still have 3 more model years with the current iteration of car. By then, I would be surprised to see that engine in this car, at least, in its current form. There are rumors of a new 2.4-liter inline-4 turbo which could supplant the existing V-6, at least as far as the IS is concerned - and the RC is closely related. That being said, I kinda want to enjoy the naturally aspirated engine while it's still here.
