Drove a 2018 Sienna today, may be old but not bad...my thoughts vs the Pacifica

That crash-video, though, was from a later-generation of Quest than the 3rd-generation abomination I posted. The one you posted was the last version sold in the U.S.
Since the thread topic is on minivans, it's a shame, IMO, that more of them are not available today in the U.S. market. GM and Ford, two of the largest automakers, opted out of the market a number of years ago, and only four are left.....the Sienna, Odyssey, Pacifica, and Sedona. OK, maybe four and a half LOL, if you include the old outdated Grand Caravan, which is basically living on life-support. Probably the only reason the GC is still selling at all (besides its low price) is that it still carries the name of the original Voyager/Caravan twins that revolutionized the people-mover industry back in the 1980s.

Funny too, the GC that we rented last week, came with Michelin Energy Saver A/S' (also, I could not find the GT on the website, I truly was curious what GT really meant, besides a nice steering wheel and actually nice steering). I've always wondered why some cheap cars come with good tires, and more expensive cars with cheap tires. Michelin tends to be costlier regardless of performance. As of late I've seem to have gravitated to them except on the Lexus which sports Rydanz, engineered in Europe, manufactured in China.
Michelin doesn't make ALL high quality tires, they have some crappy models too.

This thread kind of shows you why one should avoid FCA products for the long haul. My brother is on his second Sienna, first one was an 04 which was traded last year at 220K. It needed some work at that point but only was in the dealer for one repair which was a air conditioning that stopped working. They seem to like there new one as well. My husband has a high school friend who is on their second Honda Odyssey, they kept the first one as the dealer would not give them much for a trade, they have a new Odyssey as well as a 15 year Accord and their old Odyssey.
