Excellent video ....one of the best I've seen posted in quite some time. He did leave out a few names, though (Isuzu, Suzuki, and Daihatsu), and the fact that Mazda was originally Toyo Kogyo..but that might have been due to time-limitations on the video, not any shortcomings on his part.

Since you are a moderator, though, one question....why isn't this thread in Car Chat? It is definitely in the category of auto manufacturers.

I think there's only one marque that should be pronounced correctly, the others would be awkward (say you go to service your Mazda 3 and pronounce Mazda correctly, you'd be treated like a weirdo. If you pronounced Mercedes correctly you'd probably be thrown out of the dealership here or in the UK).

PORSCHE, there is no substitute.

I received a talking to by a sales person stateside for my pronunciation of the brand Mizuno. My error was not saying it in the stateside form.

HAHAH. I agree with this so much. Stealerships will do anything for that dollar.
