Default LS evolution video 1990-2018

a some of you guys know, as in the other thread, i do ad-style promos for the dealership i work at. these are NOT sales videos, more like art-style videos. i do all the work on them myself, and as a very long time LS enthusiast as well as a lexus driver enthusiast all together, this is basically my dream job. i am NOT trying to spam or advertise and these are not those kinds of videos. im not in sales anyway. i do all the vehicle walk arounds showing how stuff works, but do this fun stuff as well. i put ALOT of time into these.

since lexus as a brand is trying to change the image, im making them flashy, fast, high tech, etc and have done these short clips on just about every model, but im wondering if its getting TOO intense.

as fellow drivers and enthusiasts, what do YOU guys think of them?

the LS Evolution video. 400,430,460, into 500

the kind of-sort-of unofficial intro/launch style clip for the LS500 f sport, loosley based off the original LS460 launch video

short LS Hybrid promo i did. -yes, the car is actually pretty damn quick. surprisingly quick and fun to drive. ill be posting a review on here eventually as ive had major seat time in them.

like what you see? again, NOT spamming or trying to advertise. just want some opinions.

Pretty cool. You lump the 1LS and the 2LS in together though, so you're a generation off when you get to the end (the LS500 is the 5th generation LS, not the 4th).

oops! the ls400 was its own generation as a whole model, but technically, there was 2 generations of the ls400. huge difference between the ucf10 and 20. if you wanna get REAL technical there was 4 generations of ls400, if you wanna count the refreshes as a generation, the 430 only received one refresh but not a redesign, and the LS460 went through several refreshes over its 10 year span, but they were not as polarizing as the ls400s refresh. actually, the 07-09 wasnt too much different then the 10-12. last refresh was the heaviest going into 13 with revised front and back, and totally different dashboards, sort of. kind of like the ucf20 LS400, 95-97 was huge difference cosmetically from the ucf10, but still had the non vvti 1uz. 98-00 ucf20 had some minor cosmetic refreshes but a very different kind of 1uz. personally ive always used the ucf10/11 as 90-92, ucf11 as 93/94, ucf20 as 95/97 and ucf21 as 98/00, even though i know thats not the correct terminology, as the 1 was just for air suspension models. okay.. im rambling. sorry

Yeah, definitely two generations of the LS400.

I remember when the 2LS came out in 1995, you're right it was polarizing I agree...now we look at them and it doesn't seem polarizing at all...

well.. the 500 is pretty polarizing compared to the 460! i like the fact that lexus is breaking out of the shell a bit and trying new things. however, dont get me wrong, the LS460 was a damn nice car, and in its final cycle, looked pretty aggressive. the midnight edition F-sport looked downright menacing! its a shame they made so few of them as that would be the one id want someday, but at the rate im going up in years in LS (only up to 2000 and ive been driving them since a 1990 in 2001!) its going to be a 20 year old clapped out craigslist special, that i wont be able to find.

i was sad to see the V8 go from the LS as its been a V8 car since day one, but its time to stop being nostalgic and get with the times. the TT v6 will never sound or feel like the V8s, but dear god its so much faster especially off the line. ive tangled with a few 430s and 460s on the street over the years, and won. i wouldnt go anywhere near a 500. i would simply roll up my windows and pretend to not notice the other driver trying me lol.

with that said, this is obviously a very different LS, and since the engine is already set up for a turbo, it will be very interesting to see what kinds of mods people do to them as the years go by and they depreciate to the $2500 craigslist crowd 15 or so years from now. i wont be surprised we see some seriously wicked aftermarket turbos slammed into them making 800hp! i can see it now, circa 2040, 2018 LS500s slammed to the ground, with some sort of manual transmission conversion kits put in them and all the standard VIP stuff in them. i think this car will age well. it will still look good in 20+ years, just like its older siblings.
