if you ignore their diesel scandals I think todays vw have been very reliable, it's very different from the vw of a decade ago.

unfortunately, most brands consider a sunroof as something that should be standard on premium / luxury cars. i wish it was not the case as i have no use for one in florida! not an issue on my current car, but a waste nonetheless.

That's one reason why I special-ordered my Lacrosse. Too many of those in stock, at the time, had sunroofs. That was something I didn't want, either....never have,
Och is correct, BTW....depending on their design, in many vehicles (but not all), they do significantly cut headroom....by 1-2 inches on the average.

Actually, the IS isn't too bad for taller drivers. It has plenty of headroom and legroom in the front. In the rear, you might suffer as a taller person however.

Look at the Lexus LS 460. You can find one in your budget and there's no better car for ride quality or reliability. I've had 2 LS's and took them both to 250k trouble free miles.

Either way, Shaq or not, MM or not, one either fits in the seat or doesn't. I do agree, however, that the correct image probably should have been used the first time.

LOL, lets reinforce that stereotype that white people think all black people look the same lol.
I'm still going to recommend that Infiniti M/Q70 as an option. You can get them with both a V6 and V8, IMO nothing like having a big car with a V8. Compare them to the Lexus LS460, see what you like better IMO.
Also I know you want a sedan, but have you thought about a full size pickup truck??? Those things are VERY tall guy friendly, lots of space everywhere. A nicely optioned used one is in your budget as well, if you don't mind a more stripper, cloth seat variant, a new one is in budget too.
