Default anyone else dislike long car names / trims ?

does anyone else think it would be ridiculous to tell someone you drive a "Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid Sport Turismo"?

i guess since it STARTS at $188k it deserves a long name.

Just need to nickname it something shorter.....for example, I just called my snows Hakkas, everyone understood. I'm not going to say Hakkapeliitta 10s with eco studs, that's too long

They'll probably start abbreviating it and it will probably go something like:

"what kind of car do you drive?" "oh a Porsche PTSHEST" or "just picked up a PTSHEST!" lol...

I know what you mean though. No one really knows the specific models/trims unless you've shopped or owned or know someone with the vehicle. My Tacoma is a 2011 Toyota Tacoma Prerunner Double Cab Short Bed. There are so many variations its ridiculous such as the Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport Prerunner V6 Double Cab Long Bed lol (not sure if it truly exists but a variation thereof)

True, but, on the other hand, the Ford Ka has a ridiculously short name....perhaps to match its length LOL.

There's a small Opel sold in Europe, with a pretty long name, called the Opel Karl Innovation....a minister friend of mind and his wife, who are currently living in Denmark, bought a new one last year. It is not available in the American market under that name, but the body/platform appears closely related to the Chevrolet Spark.

Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Classic Brougham.

Mercury Grand Marquis Colony Park.

Land Rover Range Rover Sport Autobiography.

Bentley Continental Flying Spur W12 Mulliner.

There are simpler names which are not as complex, sort of a lost in translation issue.

Mitsubishi Lettuce

Mazda Titan Dump

Nissan Homy Super Long

Daihatsu Naked and Daihatsu Scat

Mitsubishi MU Wizard (Mysterious Utility Wizard)

Because if you drive one, you would always tell your passengers, "lettuce go now".

Yes, it is getting way out of hand with these long names! Audi was about to take the same plunge, but wised up and kept their stoopid new branding names overseas. There will never be a better time in auto history when brands named a vehicle one actual word and nothing else.
