Rap superstar Kanye West praised his Tesla as the "funnest car" he's ever driven and thanked Elon Musk in a series of tweets on Monday.
"I really love my Tesla. I'm in the future. Thank you Elon," West said in one tweet.
He continued saying that he heard Tesla's electric vehicles were good for the environment, and went on to call the car the "funnest" he has ever driven.
West and Musk appear to have a growing friendship that started 3 years ago. Writing for Time in 2015, Musk praised the rapper.
"Kanye's belief in himself and his incredible tenacity — he performed his first single with his jaw wired shut — got him to where he is today. And he fought for his place in the cultural pantheon with a purpose," Musk said.
And earlier this year, the Tesla CEO said that West inspires him.
Musk will likely be hoping for all the support he can get given the spate of bad news Tesla has recently faced, including a probe into workplace safety. Shares of Tesla are down nearly 7 percent since the start of the year.
well now I have a reason to dislike Tesla!

Yes.....off to the side, while the road (which is what one is supposed to be watching) is straight ahead.

If Elon could, he'd get rid of the side mirrors and the steering wheel too

One of my friends and her husband recently took delivery of their Model 3. I look forward to hearing how they like it.

For what it's worth, they both work for Microsoft and for whatever reason, Tesla just seems like a car for the "softies".

Congratulations to them.

How long did they have to wait for it? Some Model-3 customers have been waiting the better part of two years.

I'm not sure. I didn't even know they ordered one until they were picking it up.

They could maybe have picked up a demo. Or, simply one that had been previously ordered/delivered by someone else, and, for whatever reason, the financing or final-sale got messed up or cancelled, and the car couldn't be picked up by its original customer. That sometimes happens...especially with financing.

Anyhow, however they got it......congratulations to them and good luck.

Good theory, but she did tell me after delivery that they had ordered it. I just didn't ask how long ago that was, but will certainly do so.

I think it's a very pretty car (theirs is a nice metallic blue) with a very spartan interior. They are not for me but I do admit that I like them.

decent number of model 3 have been delivered around here, i see them pretty regularly. initially it's current X and S owners they have priority to order the car, and then it's people who want the longer range version gets priority, then rest.

noticeably different from model S, but i am still not sure bout that interior

Yeah I'm seeing them pretty regularly here in NorCal. No surprise since they're manufactured here lol.
