Pretty damn sure you could do the same feat with Marty McFly's 1985 4WD truck, or any damn Land Cruiser FJ40 with the right studded snow tires, provided you put those trucks in low range 4wd. The low range 4wd multiplies the torque sent to the wheels. I know heavier is better for tow vehicles, but I still don't think you need any sort of powerful engine, its all about gear reduction and traction at the tires. Main thing is having the right tires IMO.

Well, its very tricky to be able to put enough torque onto slippery road to pull that semi. If you look up those tires, they are not studded, just regular winter tires - which goes to show just how important snow tires are.

Have seen many videos from this guy but I dont understand the point with many of them. A typical euro truck has between 280 and 400 hp, so the power is more than enough. There are many videos with "standard" Subarus and Audis with far less hp hauling trucks stuck in the snow and so on, so I dont really get this video.
