Current Rav4 has been out since MY14 right? New one for MY19. The last decade ToMoCo has typically been six years intro for 3, refresh for 3. So With the NX being refreshed for MY18. I have a feeling the 2019 NX will be identical and perhaps the 2020 NX will be all new.
For NX, i would not be surprised if they hurry up a year due to production, factories, etc, if they are moving it all to TNGA by then. But not sure really since it is really successful so it kind of does not make sense not to amortize the investment for another year.

it will be exactly 6 years since Rav4.4 was introduced. That would make it 2021 MY for NX.

I've had 2 RAV4s, 2009 and a 2012, and the key thing I disliked about both was the ride, particularly over rough patches. I'm hoping they resolve this moving to the TNGA platform, but toherwise keep it's successful formula of a good family hauler that can carry a great load of stuff (I had a 6ft 180gallon fish tank loaded once)! I'm sure it will be a huge hit!

My parents had a 2012 RAV4 which they traded for a 13 when that debuted. The 13 is, in my opinion, very nice and a huge upgrade over the 2012. They have around 60k miles on their 13 now and still really love it. I'm curious if they'll get the urge to move up to this new model.
The current RAV4 astonishes me with its sales, despite being near the end of its life cycle. It just keeps selling like mad. I think it's a great package and this new RAV4 has great promise. I'm excited to see it debut.

I have the current 2018 RAV4 Hybrid AWD and I really like a lot. Thing is that this car does exactly what it promises to do, I dont know how to explain that in details but here is an example : It could for sure be more sporty and have better handling , but does the car itself imply those features in any way ? No. Does Toyota even mention "sportiness" in the same sentence as "RAV4". No, Do you expect it to be sporty when you see it visually or read the specification ? No. Thats why I mean that this is an "honest" car !
Looking forward to the new one !
