Default Accident while test driving car?

So if i am selling my car (a private party sale) and an indivdual who i am letting inspect and test drive the vehicle crashes it while in the middle of the test drive who is liable for it? Is it a you brake it you bought it type of thing or what exactly happens?

Anyone have any personal experience or the exact answer?

Are you asking before or after it happened?

Before--you should ask him to provide his insurance card. If something happens, you claim it under his insurance.

After--you tell him to give you his insurance company info, and hope for the best. If not, you have to claim it under your insurance, and hope that this person will pay your deductible.

As long as the driver has insurance, it would fall on his/her insurance, assuming he/she has enough insurance to cover all of the damages/claims.

Depends on jurisdiction, here the insurance is on the car and that's the primary carrier for the liability. they then go after any other carriers for recovery, hence, they could/would go after the driver's carrier in the background.

No accident had happened but i am selling my lifted jeep cherokee and the vehicle is hard to drive for someone who is not used to it because its a lifted straight axle jeep.

I am just curious if someone has a background in law and had a rough idea, i am just trying to cover my **** and my wife pointed out that if you are not used to it the jeep just wonders and goes were it wants to go, after she said that the scenario popped into my head that what if someone crashes it when test driving it. I hope that if they crash it they have to be financially responsible to repair or purchase the damaged vehicle or if i can sue them in court if my i have to claim it on my insurance.

Thank you all who have taken the time to reply to me i appreciate it very much.
