2018 Camry revealed

Not a fan of the new "beak" styling Toyota has been putting on the Corolla and Rav4, and now the Camry.
Also this could be rendering for the "Aurion" which is a slightly fancier Camry sold in Japan, Australia, New Zealand and other parts of southeast asia.

The camouflaged model seems to have a lower beltline and higher greenhouse, and a more arched roofline than the rendering. Look at the definite slope of the rear door upper window frame, which is not as pronounced in the rendering.
The rendering seems to borrow somewhat from the current Corolla's styling (especially the front three-quarter view), which is probably not incorrect, as there is a lot of borrowing of styles between the Camry and Corolla, as their update schedules have staggered. I am not sure if those side profile character lines will show up on the real model; Toyotas tend to use more subtle character lines rather than obvious creases. The rendering also seems to take hints from the current Acura styling, IMO. I don't know if this is intentional or not.
I think that the rendering probably was produced before the real, camouflaged model hit the streets.
But the Aurion has mainly differed in front and rear fascia -- grill, headlights and taillights. So if this is the Aurion, the side profile shape will be the same as our next Camry.

Interesting mix of many models, from the TL to the 2003 Accord, to others. I anxiously await the new model, but have little faith it's going to be attractive. Toyota is on a strange course right now, with the new Prius heading the pack.
