Default switch from GS F Sport to IS 350 F Sport?

Lease coming up on GS F Sport. My 2nd one. Thinking about an IS F Sport for a change.

Every time I see one on the road it’s someone in their 20’s or 30’s which is great.

Would it look weird for a 58 year old to drive an IS? May get a 3rd GS but they may be discontinued after 2018.

Are the back seats worthless in the IS. I’m a real estate broker and drive clients around town to see properties.

Thanks for your input.

IS backseat narrow, I don't think IS is a good car for your job.

May be ES suit you better.

Thanks for replying. I like ES but not for me. Prefer sportier rear wheel drive car.

Agree that IS back seats would not be good for client usage. Genesis G80 Sport? I don't know how competitive their lease programs are, but they have some hearty incentives overall.

The ES seems well-suited to that type of task. If you were buying the IS as a solely personal vehicle, for your own non-work purposes, I'd say it would do nicely. Would you want to get another GS, perhaps?

BTW, I think the seats are fine... considering it's a small car. But not ideal if you are trying to impress.

G80 Sport is a great choice. I read the Lease thread at Genesis Owner Forum, average lease around $600+/month $0 down if lucky.

ES def. a realtor's car. being fwd there's no middle 'hump'/tunnel between the rear seats.

i think a realtor is better off with an suv though - easier to get in and out.

if you like sporty, get a porsche macan.

Welcome to CL.

You may like its sport-sedan road-manners, but I don't think an IS is the ideal car for driving real-estate clients (and potential clients) around in. Others have (correctly) pointed out the Munchkin-sized rear seat, and those clients may not particularly like its firm ride, particularly with the F-Sport suspension.

I agree with Bitkahuna. If you want to please yourself, get the IS. If you want to please your clients (and maybe sell more homes?)....get the ES. Or, if you can afford one, an LS, like the one another real-estate-agent on this forum drives.

Have you sat in the back of a Macan before Bit?
There is so little knee room, his clients would have to be legless...

Test drive and spend some time in an IS F Sport, if you haven't already.

Being a former owner of one and though I never had passengers in and never used the rear seats, I still found the back area not real large and accommodating.

Car models are not specific to certain age brackets and folks of all ages drive the IS F Sport. You're never too old to be driving an IS despite the majority of owners being younger than yourself.

If you want sporty, have you considered a GS F? And, the LS is a great option.

Buy what you like, screw other people's perceptions, there are guys much older than you in the 3 IS forum, oldest guy is in his 80's.

Just make sure you have smaller clients

I do love my Is350 F Sport though. It’s a great drivers car.

Never worry about what others think. You only have to answer to yourself.
From what you described, I think the GS would suit you best. Sporty, some prestige, great reputation, RWD, and space in back for your clients. It's all there. Buy out your lease, save some money, and be on your way.
