Agreed....doesn't the rear look like a (defunct I think) 2008 A5? I like the quad exhaust even if it's fake....

Reminds me of when my buddy and I were in a club, the patron next to me points, you like that? I said no, I don't. He actually goes into a tirade etc., and when we go back out to the parking lot, the license plate is ripped off of my car! How the **** did that guy know my car was the Volvo? A millenial coworker told a story that reminded me of this, someone kicked the side of his Tacoma in. It's not funny, but all of us in the office did laugh because you could almost make out the sole of the boot...

What I mean is BMW/MB/Lexus are telling us you like this. But, but nothing, you like this and this is cool (if it's true, a 991.2 must be fugly then, as it resembles the original).

You can change the color, it has 64 colors in E, I guess there should be no less combination in this CLS.

LOL that was a really random story...

Also, the red striping is not actually red striping. They just enhanced the image to show the ambient lighting. The only thing red is the stitching on the dash and seats and doors, very minimal

The front end looks a bit like the ford mustang. They are cutting corners on design right now.

^^ good call.

CLS53 AMG should be one smooth operator with that I6. Love the 48-volt hybrid system too.

Sounds like a great engine that will surely be quick. Not sure why Lexus can't build an engine that is legitimately (not just on paper) fast. That is one thing that still eludes Lexus.

Overall I really like it.

One of the reasons (among several) why Lexus gets such good reliability out of their powerplants is that they don't over-stress them in the power department.

It's not that they can't. They certainly have the engineering prowess to (LFA anyone?). That thought is just not on their radar, but rather something we as enthusiasts dream.

Interesting quote from VP of Marketing for Lexus, in regards to what the LF-1 Concept represents

"We don't want to be the 'race car' brand; we don't want to be the 'quiet ride' brand. We want to be the brand which is emotionally connected with the customer," said Cooper Ericksen, vice president of U.S. marketing for Lexus.

So if you want 'fast' might as well stick with Audi and Benz.
